Blijkbaar iets te maken met... en let nu goe op Little Tee & Cness...ze weten het eil nie echt: volgens wikipedia:
*One theory suggests that earthquake lights are a form of plasma discharge caused by the release of gases from within the Earth and are electrically charged in the air.
*Another possible explanation is local disruption of the Earth's magnetic field and/or ionosphere in the region of tectonic stress, resulting in the observed glow effects either from ionospheric radiative recombination at lower altitudes and greater atmospheric pressure or as aurora.
*Another explanation involves intense electric fields created piezoelectrically by tectonic movements of rocks containing quartz.
Two days before the quake thousands of toads suddenly decided to move across a bridge in Taizhou, a town in the Jiangsu province. Ondertussen in Myanmar...Red Cross aid packs sold in markets in Rangoon
The online journal Mizzima has just published this photo showing boxes of products emblazoned with the Red Cross logo piled up at a Rangoon market stall ready for sale. Is international aid funding the country's military officials? Kio, one of our Observers for Burma, confirms to us that products intended for humanitarian aid relief are being sold in markets all over the country. It's impossible to know how the goods got there, but Kio reminds us that each delivery of aid goes through the junta. According to him, the products would have been sold-off by Burmese regime officials. (via)

Ivm oorzaak van da licht, beats me.... Bij andere filmkes over da soort licht (wikipedia) doet zich dat ook voor, maar dan wel 's nachts. kan dus geen gevolg zijn van lichtbreking door een gas. Dit wijst erop dat we te maken hebben met geëxciteerde atomen/moleculen. Terugval van dergelijk geëxciteerd atoom naar zijn originele toestand geeft fluorescentie oftewel 'licht'. Blijft natuurlijk de vraag wat deze excitatie veroorzaakt, oftewel welke input van energie verantwoordelijk is voor dergelijke excitatie.
Benadering van het plasma is een zeer waarschijnlijke oplossing vermits bij het onderhouden van dergelijk plasma dikwijls gebruik gemaakt wordt van fluorescentie als analyse-techniek. Het verschijnsel is dus bekend. Vraag blijft welk mechanisme verantwoordelijk is voor excitatie lijkt me.....Little_Tee?

Spelling
De vaak geziene spelling episch centrum is onjuist. Het woord episch is immers afgeleid van epos, "heldendicht", en betekent dan ook: "in de stijl van een heldendicht", of in ruimer zin: "heldhaftig, groots". Daarentegen verwijst het epi- in epicentrum naar niets anders dan het Griekse voorzetsel voor "op, bovenop".
De verwarring wordt wellicht in de hand gewerkt doordat de onjuiste en de juiste spelling beide dezelfde uitspraak opleveren

het lijkt me sterk als ik dit mysterie opeens zou kunnen oplossen Cness :)
Een plasma lijkt me ook het meest waarschijnlijk, maar waar komt die energie dan vandaan inderdaad. Het moet alleszins een vorm van een elektrisch of magnetisch veld zijn. Bliksem is ook een vorm van een plasma en deze wordt veroorzaakt door een potentiaalverschil dat ontstaat in wolken. Hoe dit ontstaat weet men ook nog altijd niet exact, maar het proces is toch al redelijk goed beschreven. Over wat in het filmpje te zien is heb ik zelf nog nooit gehoord, maar als het zouden soortgelijke ontladingen kunnen zijn, weliswaar van een kleinere grootte. Als dat zo is zou het kunnen veroorzaakt worden door potentiaalverschillen in de lucht/wolken, net zoals bliksem, maar waar die dan vandaan zouden komen en waarom het dan niet gewoon bliksem wordt is voor mij een raadsel.
Komt er eigenlijk op neer: sorry mannen, geen idee. Ik zou er wat kunnen over opzoeken, maar als we het op een mysterie houden, dan is dat toch ook mooi eh :)
